XTRA-VISION ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED PRIVACY STATEMENT

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement (together with the Terms and Conditions of Use of our website ("Site") and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us ("Data") will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our treatment and use of Data.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1988 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (e-Privacy regulations) (as amended) ("Acts"), the data controller is Xtra-vision Entertainment Limited with registered number 526619 of Greenhills Retail Park, Greenhills Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • your name and contact details including postal address; email address, mobile number
  • the time and date of your visit;

We use transaction history and other information you may provide to us e.g.information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing to a service we provide, posting material on our Site requesting further services, entering a competition or promotion, requesting information from us and submitting comments. We may also ask you for information if you report a problem with our Site.  This helps us to improve the effectiveness of our marketing to target more relevant offers and information.  We comply with the requirements of the DPA 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (e-Privacy regulations) on both storage of data as well as the use of that data and we will use all data at our disposal such as payment and communication data as well a geo-demographic or lifestyle in order to build customer profiles.

  • if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
  • details of your visits to our Site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access. When you access our Site, your computer’s browser provides us with information such as your IP address, browser type, access time and referring URL which is collected and used to compile statistical data on the use of our Site. This information may be used to help us to improve our Site and the services we offer.

Our Site uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is generated by our Site, sent to a user’s browser and stored on the hard drive of the user’s computer. USES MADE OF YOUR DATA

We use your Data that we hold to:

MARKETING

We may disclose your Data to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 155 of the Irish Companies Act 1963, to our service providers and selected third parties. Your use of the Site constitutes your consent to such use, processing and disclosure.

  • in the event that we sell, buy or transfer any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your Data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
  • if Xtra-vision Entertainment Limited or any of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case your Data held by Xtra-vision Entertainment Limited may be one of the transferred assets; or
  • if we are under a duty to disclose or share your Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of Use, and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Xtra-vision Entertainment Limited, our customers, or others;

ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND CORRECTION

You may request in writing copies of your Data held by us as data controller. We will provide you with a copy of the Data held by us as soon as practicable and in any event not more than 40 days after the request in writing. There may be a charge to access your Data. We may also request proof of identification and additional details which may reasonably be required to identify you and to verify your access request. All requests should be [email protected]. We endeavour to keep your Data accurate, complete and up to date. If your Data that we hold is inaccurate, please let us know and we will make the necessary amendments, erase or block the relevant Data as you request and notify you within 40 days of your request that the relevant action has been taken. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Statement from time to time in our sole discretion.
